My Books

(Well, to be fair, my book)

The first in what I hope is a long series entitled The Sam and Meg Stone Mysteries, this book starts at the beginning–or at least right after the beginning–of the Sam and Meg Stone era. As the story opens, we meet Sam and Meg as they walk into their wedding reception. They’re young, they’re a beautiful couple, they’re madly in love with each other. All is right with the world–until their friend drops dead in the middle of their first dance! But don’t worry! To quote the great philosopher, Miracle Max, “You see, there’s different kinds of dead: there’s sort of dead, mostly dead, and all dead.” Well, their friend is only mostly dead, so he gets better, which is quite a relief for everyone at the wedding, especially the dead guy.

Fast forward a bit. The honeymoon is over–though will it ever truly be over for these two? Probably not. At any rate, Sam greets a new client. Del Clingerton of Clingerton Farms. A family-owned business. Only the family part isn’t working too well. It seems Del’s twin brother Bert has vanished, along with all the money in the farm’s bank account. Sam is on the case, and it doesn’t take long to find that things aren’t quite as they seem.

Where is Bert? And where’s the money? What’s in that giant building that Bert, who is perpetually tapped out, has suddenly built on the back of his property? And what does this all have to do with the near-death experience of Sam and Meg’s friend? All the answers can be found in Cast The First Stone: A Sam And Meg Stone Mystery.
