Just a quick check-in to update everyone on my progress in my challenge to write 20,000 words or finish my rough draft, whichever comes first, by Monday, February 10. I’m happy to say that since I gave myself the challenge on Friday, I’ve written 3048 words. That may not seem like the progress I need, but I’m still completely confident I’ll get there. Part of my faith is because I historically work well under pressure. Another reason I feel good about my chances is where I am in the story. I feel like I’ll be able to wrap it all up in less than 10,000 words. I have one big scene and the surprise ending fight scene left.

That’s where I stand. I’ll do another update in a couple days. I’m looking forward to being able to say I made it.
